Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh is the best resort in Hurghada. Just asked a local about it, and if you are looking for the most luxury, this is the place to be. I also checked Kayak, and Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh has the highest price tag on the list (little over $300).
Beware of hurghada airport scams! This is how it works: you come to the Hurghada airport you last day of vacation and while checking out, the personale informs you that your luggage is overweight. You wonder how could this be, since you packed carefully... well the weights are purpuselly off, so you are being asked to pay a few hudnred euros.
What to do? Insist that you weighted your loggage at the hotels at two different scales, and inform them that this happened to you before. Some have suggested that it's good idea to bring a small portable scale.
Some time ago, I read a nice article in New York times, that real estate agents will always tell you that it's a good time to "buy." It the market is doing great they will tell you that it's good time because you can make money on the yearly appreciation (based on last year). If the market is bad, they will tell you that now is the time to get a bargain property for your money. So what is the true advice for a wise "investor"?
There is no simple answer. I have been doing a lot of research recently in whole Hurghada miracle, and still trying to make some sense of it all for myself. One real estate website that I visited said: "you should buy because there 30% yearly gains in the real estate values." 30% sounds like a pre-buble market to me, or it's not 30%. So what to make of all this? Here are a few points that I can think of.
